The FVC team is delighted to Welcome Natalie Krawczyk to our growing team. Natalie is joining us as an Ecologist/Botanist, and we have already put her knowledge and experience to good use, including on a big, long road-trip and field surveys last week.
Natalie is an ecologist and environmental scientist with specialist experience in botanical surveys and monitoring. She completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Conservation Biology and Management in 2008 and has since gained more than seven years’ experience in environmental consulting and natural resource management. Natalie has extensive experience in biological surveys, including detailed (Level 2) flora and vegetation and basic (Level 1) flora and fauna surveys, vegetation and condition mapping, targeted significant flora searches, vegetation compliance monitoring, and subterranean fauna and short-range endemic surveys. She has contributed to an extensive range of projects in the Pilbara, Gascoyne, South-West, Goldfields and Swan Coastal Plain regions across Western Australia.
Natalie has managed numerous environmental consulting projects from planning to completion stages, in particular, vegetation compliance monitoring and flora and fauna assessments. She has also contributed to environmental management plan and environmental impact assessments including formal assessments such as public environmental reviews. Natalie is highly regarded for her technical reporting skills and attention to detail, to ensure the delivery of high-quality documents to clients. Natalie’s particular areas of skill and interest include vegetation monitoring, data management and interpretation, fauna and habitat assessments and environmental education.
Natalie is passionate about the environment and particularly animals and she has quite the menagerie that she cares for at her semi-rural home. She also has several years of working as a vet nurse included in her impressive career history. When she’s not working as an environmental consultant or caring for her animals, Natalie enjoys bushwalks, gardening, sewing and cooking, including baking goodies to bring into the office (yay!).
