The Efficiencies of UAV Application

This week, we’ve been working on a large site with a focus on updating previous survey results, from many years ago.

The task required the team to verify changes in vegetation and its condition over the broadly variable land. An additional challenge was the difficulty in accessing all corners of the site easily, due to the boggy and wet nature of the area.

To achieve efficiencies for our client, optimise the safety and well-being of our field crew, and above all, to gather data enabling the most accurate results possible, we deployed our camera-equipped UAV (drone).

We’re now ready to view the imagery captured, to refine maps drafted in the field from some ground-truthing; which sure beats trudging through all of the Tiger snake infested swamps!
