Welcome Nicola!

FVC is excited to welcome Nicola Barratt! 

Nicola joins as an Environmental Consultant in our growing Environmental Management team.  She has over five years’ experience working in the environmental sector, conducting environmental impact assessments and undertaking flora and fauna surveys. 

Nicola’s environmental management experience includes conducting environmental impact assessments and preparing environmental approvals documentation.  She also has a good working knowledge of environmental compliance requirements and auditing.  Nicola’s particular expertise is in conducting comprehensive desktop assessments across a range of factors, focused on spatial data, and utilising her GIS skills. 

Nicola’s technical background in ecology is based on a number of years of experience working predominantly as a botanist.  Her ecological assessment experience includes desktop assessments and field assessments, ranging from reconnaissance and basic surveys, to detailed and targeted assessments and monitoring programmes, across a range of bioregions, plus a wealth of experience in technical reporting, data management and interpretation. 

Her capability and experience in both ecology and broader ranging environmental impact assessment and management is complementary to Nicola’s contributions in both technical spaces, and makes her a perfect fit for the FVC team.

Nicola is a keen swimmer and takes to the water most days.  Also being a music enthusiast, she enjoys practicing piano and choir, when she can fit it in around being a mum to her young son.
