Field work in Forrestania, a biodiversity hotspot

The FVC team has been fortunate enough to be out in the Forrestania area this week and last week, undertaking flora, vegetation and fauna surveys in two study areas within the region renowned for its high biodiversity.

The study sites are in close proximity to multiple nature reserves and support a number of values of environmental significance, including the eastern extremity of the Critically Endangered Eucalypt Woodlands of the Western Australian Wheatbelt ecological community.

The beauty of such a place is apparent, and we really look forward to returning for spring surveys later this year.
