FVC Recognised Alongside our Client

The City of Kwinana has become a much-valued client of FVC. Together, our teams have been recognised for excellence for a new Local Biodiversity Strategy (LBS) which was prepared in a true collaborative partnership.
The LBS will protect and enhance the biodiversity values within the City’s natural areas. The team of FVC and City personnel successfully transformed a vision into a tangible strategy with measurable goals. All of the project team were proud of the finished product. Shortly after the LBS was endorsed by council, along with the implementation of some vegetation offsets, the efforts were nominated for a Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) Award for Planning Excellence, in the category of Climate Change and Resilience.
Project team members, including FVC’s Managing Director, Kellie Bauer-Simpson, attended the awards gala dinner at the Westin Hotel on 4 November. Much to their delight, the project was awarded a commendation!

The LBS will be released for public comment within the next week or two. Stakeholders, including residents and those who work in and use the City, are encouraged to review the document and provide their feedback.
The FVC team thoroughly enjoyed working with the energetic and passionate City team on the project, and the commendation from the PIA Awards has been the icing on the cake.
